Born and brought up in Indore, Bikram chanced upon the sport of tennis at a local club when he was 8 years old. Instantly it became the be all and end all of his existence. He dreamt of competing on the professional tennis circuit. To further his ambition, when he was 15, he left the security and comfort of home and moved to Pune, which offered better training facilities. Success ensued soon after and Bikram was ranked amongst the top 50 juniors in the world in 1992 and went on to play the junior Wimbledon and junior US Open. Subsequently, when he moved into the men’s section, things didn't go as per what he had envisioned and he realized tennis wasn’t working out.

Thereafter life had other plans for him. It took him from the world of tennis to that of modelling. This switch in the lanes came on account of winning the first ever Grasim Mr. India personality contest in 1994. To capitalize on this opportunity he shifted to Mumbai, and started his new career as a model.

Apart from modelling, Bikram was on a lookout for more pursuits. It was then that he got his first break in theatre and from then on there was no looking back. Theatre and acting provided him with the dream and also the same high that tennis had once given. He started off with English theatre and later moved onto Hindi theatre. It was only a matter of time before films came his way.

He currently resides in Mumbai.
